John Ivey

2023-2026 saw Southern Oregon’s John Ivey perform roughly 300 shows at wineries, taverns and lodges. You can catch John as a solo artist and as the vocalist and lead guitar for both the duo and trio versions of “The John Ivey Band.”

Born in the Midwest and having lived in Australia, Hawaii, California and the Pacific North West, the stylistic diversity of the music that John writes reflects this blend of cultural experiences.  A self-taught guitar and harmonica player, John’s upbeat music has been described as “Jack Johnson meets 90’s rock” and his introspective lyrical style described as “reassuring and hopeful.” John received some formal teaching in music theory at UCLA, but the majority of his knowledge of music comes from playing with many talented musicians over the years.
